I downloaded this when it was free. I'd say it's worth $.99 to $1.99 as an ebook if you have never baked bread or used a bread machine before. But at $4.85 (the price now), I can't recommend it; there is just too much free info on the web at this level.If you're beyond a beginner, this is not for you.Most of it is common sense tips that you can find for free on the web. But having it all in one place as a tutorial would be worth a buck.There are only six recipes, so it's mostly introduction to bread baking, theory, and general tips. Keto (low carb) and gluten-free are discussed.(I did not consider the naan recipe authentic because it doesn't use milk or yogurt.)
This book is so helpful and educational! Before reading this, I didn't realize that store-bought bread isn't as healthy as homemade bread. I didn't know about the benefits of homemade bread, but this book explains a lot about that. The book has recipes for standard loaves of bread, rolls, pizza crusts, and more, and it also contains detailed information about bread machines and other bread-making tools. For people who need gluten-free options, there is information on that as well. What I like best about the book is that it is aimed at people who are completely new to making bread. You don't have to be a cooking expert at all. It's a well-written book!
This was a fantastic primer for beginners. The process is logical and straightforward. Definitely a fantastic reference to have at hand to build skills and confidence with bread baking.
Lots of great information, but I hesitate a bit to give it a full recommendation because there are sooo many spelling and punctuation errors. Can I please edit this book so that it can be more useful, especially to true beginners? There were so many places where I had to stop and try to figure out what the author was saying, only to realize it was due to the wrong word being used (down instead of done, type instead of top, use instead of us...and that’s just within the first few chapters) and would have made perfect sense immediately if someone had simply proofread before publishing. I have a fair amount of bread baking experience, so I was able to overlook the errors and get to the information I was after, but I may have become frustrated as a beginner if I had to sift through the lack of editing to get what I needed from the book.
The terminology and descriptions are very well done. If you haven’t done much bread making or even if you have, there is something for every level of bread baker in this book.
I loved this book! She broke everything down so I could understand it. Would recommend it to all beginners. I love making bread.
Bread Baking Mastery for Beginner is a good book for a beginner baker. In our family, My spouse is the baker of bread, etc. I decided to try out this book and make some bread from a recipe I found. First I read the book learning about yeast and the procedure in making a good loaf of bread. This was my first time in making bread and I will make bread again.
This book was right up my alley -- super easy to understand for a bread-making newbie like myself! There are even recipes included -- now I can surprise my husband with the smell of fresh baked bread when he gets home from work!
