Pre-ordered this book back in November. As part of the "pre-order package," I received the audio book, and listened to it. It changed my life.1. Exercise - Over the course of my 29 years on this Earth, I have developed an intense dislike of exercise. It is boring, and I'm not a huge fan of sweating. Not to mention that it is a huge investment of my time! With this book, you don't have to invest a lot of time, and there is something to focus on other than my sweating (the mantras).2. My Self-Esteem - I was raised in an abusive household. My opinion didn't mean a whole lot, and I've never felt good enough for anything or anyone. But since starting the mantras, I find myself sticking up for myself & my opinion more and more. The best part is that the mantras can be tailored to your specific situation.
I have been following Erin Stutland, for a few years. I own - and use regularly - her Shrink Session program, as well as a few of her Soul Stroll audios. And I am in her facebook groups. So Erin is like a dear friend, who helps motivate me to move my body, and my life. Everything she offers runs on the basic principle that "movement in your body creates movement in you life". I pre-ordered Mantras in Motion, as soon as it was available, and received the bonus materials, which included the audio version of the book. Like another reviewer, I listened to the audio while doing things around the house. I have only flipped through the physical book, so far, since it only arrived a few days ago, and I have already listened to it. But I like the format, and the illustrations of the movements look very easy to follow, even for someone who is not as familiar with Erin as I have become. Nothing physically demanding, but simple movements that will change your energy for the better, in an instant. I know that the written exercises are thought provoking, and combining them with the physical exercises will help you to know yourself and what you want, so that you can move forward toward your goals and dreams.As you read and work this book, you will feel like Erin is right there with you - and she is good company!
I purchased the Shrink Session exercise program a few years ago, and it has been one of the best investments for my health and well-being. I listen to the Mantras In Motion audiobook while I'm cleaning house and have been reading the Kindle book at night before bed and in the morning after writing in my gratitude journal. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to manifest positive thoughts and a "Can-Do!" attitude. If you love the book (and I know you will), the entire exercise program and Soul Strolls are well worth the purchase as well! The Facebook community is always active and encouraging.
I don't know how I heard about Erin Stutland... it was YEARS ago. I had a long distance relationship, a job I hated, inner conflict and insecurities. I found her shrink sessions and wasn't really sure about all this. I believed in manifesting to an extent. I was looking for a peace I had not had in years... maybe I never really had it but it felt like I had... in the way that you think candy used to taste so much better when you were a kid kind of way. Maybe I'd always had anxiety and insecurity and massive doses of fear. So I tried her shrink session and her meditation and her worksheets. Peace. It brought me peace. And so then I did the meditations and I was sold. I've since read Erin's blogs, and her instagram and the number of times she has written about something that is ON THE NOSE exactly pertinent to my life and a problem I was having is amazing. So I was excited to read this book. I will be honest... sometimes I forget about the shrink sessions (how I don't know... they kick my butt! Great workout if anyone is looking for one) and I get too busy to meditate. And when I need peace, and hope, and to feel abundant and strong and that more abundance and more strength are on my way, I head back. This book is a GEM and is more of what the shrink sessions have brought to me. I love the down to earth way it is written. I love the examples from her life. I love the hope. And the ways forward. I am so grateful for this book.
I love the way this book flows. Erin Stutland introduces her ideas through wonderful stories from her own life and her coaching clients. She inspires new ways of thinking and encourages self exploration with journaling exercises and then creates amazing results by bringing together positive mantras with fun and flowing motions. Mantras in Motion is easy to read and follow for all ages. Congratulations to Erin and her publisher Hay House Inc.
I don’t even know where to start- I am writing this review while bathing my two toddlers, and feeling more empowered than I ever have in my life. This book has opened my eyes. I used to see the world and my life as a narrow tunnel- I could only move one step left or one step right. As a mom with little kids- we can feel so ‘stuck’ and forget about our own needs and desires.Reading this book has truly helped me to discover what I want in my life and how to flip my limiting beliefs on their head. I feel like I am a better mom because I have learned how to better to myself.Erin’s Mantras and exercises are helping me to take small steps of courage and to live my life from a place of power instead of fear. I truly can’t recommend it enough. I have even bought copies for my best friends because I know they will benefit so much from Erin’s amazing wisdom. I hold give this book 100 stars if I could. It’s amazing!
The author drew me in with her anecdotal stories and advice and I couldn't put it down! Not only that but I actually had so much fun implementing the movement pieces with the mantras, it has totally changed the way I think about how to implement change in my life. Without being too heavy on the "woo" the book also has a nice touch of spirituality (the right amount for me) mixed with practical advice, tested research and easy to implement strategies and actions. I loved it and highly recommend if you're looking for an easy to read book with meaningful advice that actually makes sense in this world of manifesting! Oh and bonus will help you FEEL great if you just commit to doing the movement too!
